In tandem with the Hospitality Sector Boom in Singapore, we completed Hotel Mecure on Stevens Road, Intercontinental Hotel at Robertson Quay, Crowne Plaza Extension at Changi Airport Park Hotel at Farrer Road, RWS Hotel at Jurong East, Indigo Hotel at Katong, Yotel at Orchard Road and Oasia Downtown Hotel in the last 3 years. All part of the tourism and hospitality industry boom in Singapore.

As part of providing a multiple-city service, ie Singapore & Jakarta, we commence design work on a large mix-use project in Jakarta with a Singapore Client. Design workshops in Singapore and construction review in Jakarta. The Wisma Sudirman twin tower development will showcase the collaboration between the two BFG offices.

Secured major Public Sector projects in Singapore which will enable stable transition to 2020’s. These are the new campus for Singapore Institute of Technology in Punggol, new ICA building in Kallang, Elective Care Centre & Health Sciences Authority building at SGH and new High Speed Rail Terminal in Jurong East.

Establishment of BFG Consulting Sdn Bhd office in Malaysia to tackle large building projects. With support of YTL Corporation, Lendlease Malaysia & SP Setia we started an office at KL Sentral to provide faster consultancy service to the KL Ecocity, YTL HQ Building and TRX residential projects.

Completed four of the largest projects in Western Singapore; MediaCorp New Campus, Ng Teng Fong Hospital, RWS Hotel and Westgate Mall.

Established BFG Consulting (Shanghai) Co Ltd office in China to provide inspection and audit support for projects in SE Asia. Commenced with inspections of project in Auckland NZ, Anandamaya Residence in Jakarta and Hospital projects in Singapore.

New business park in Woodlands, Singapore by Far East Organisation. We will commence with façade design to the 3 commercial office blocks, Woods Square, in a landscape campus environment.

Established associate offices in Indonesia (PT Building Façade Group Indonesia) and China (BFG Consulting (Shanghai) Co Ltd) to provide stronger ties with our vibrant Jakarta office and to service our Clients with audit/inspection services when procuring from China.

Providing advisory services to RSP Architects for the exciting façade and glass dome for the Jewel Project at Changi Airport. Together with the Crowne Plaza Hotel Extension we will be leaving our facade footprint in the airport precinct.

Continuing with our association with Regional HQ buildings in Singapore (ie P&G Innovation Centre and Rohde & Schwarz R&D Centre), we secured the GlaxoSmithKline, GSK HQ building in One-North (with Boustead) and the new Hewlett-Packard HQ at Depot Road (with Mapletree).

Commence work on major landmarks in Singapore CBD. The old DBS Tower 1 & 2 at 6 Shenton Way to be given a completely new façade face-lift by our Client OUE Properties.

Our project Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay won the 2014 Singapore Institue of Architects, Best Commercial Building Award.

Steady diversification overseas with projects secured in Bangalore, India (Ecoworld Plot C2 and C3), Astana, Kazakhstan (Respublika Plaza) and Yangon, Myanmar (Junction City).

Successful in securing façade consultancy work for the new National Centre for Infectious Diseases at Novena in Singapore. A large health-care, training and administrative facility. This will form a key component of the health-care master plan for Novena area.

A year which saw the successful completion of P&G Innovation Centre, Westgate Mall, Holiday Inn Express at Clarke Quay, Robinsons Department Store @ Orchard, Lippo Plaza Shanghai and Rohde & Schwarz R&D Centre. Busy but satisfying conclusion.

We commenced work on new Hotel Projects like Intercontinental Hotel Pondok Indah, Jakarta, Sheraton Kathmandu, Oasia Downtown Hotel, Crowne Plaza Extension at Changi, RWS Jurong Hotel, The Pines Accor Hotel   & Gallery Hotel A&A in Singapore.

In collaboration with our partner office in Jakarta, PT Paul Adam Facades, our growth in Indonesia continues to strengthen. Securing AHRD Residential Towers with Astra/HKLand, Magkuluhur City & TCC2 in Jakarta, together with Tunjungan Plaza 6 & Supermall Pakuwon Indah  in Surabaya together with projects by Lippo, we have extended our engagement in Indonesia.

Moved to larger office at 81, Ubi Avenue 4. Space to grow and enjoy roof-top drinks.

Successful in obtaining the new State Courts Complex in Singapore. A large multi-storey court house with architectural façade design inspired by the roof-tops of pre-war neighbours. A major shift in building design of this typology.

BFG as part of the design team with DP Architects won the bid for the new S$1.0b Sengkang General & Community Hospital project in Singapore. Together with our role as Façade Consultant for the Ng Teng Fong Hospital and SGH Pathology Centre, we continue to be active in the health care sector in Singapore

This month sees the inclusion of BFG to the design team for the NTU New School of Medicine at Novena and Yunnan campus. These buildings will house the new Lee Kong Chian Medical School and will have teaching laboratories and classrooms.  Together with other similar medical and R&D facilities like Yong Loo Lin MD1 Proctor & Gamble Innovation Centre and Rohde & Schwarz R&D Centre, BFG will contribute significantly with development of buildings in this category.

Revitalising Retail Malls has become one of our key expertise. April 2012 saw the award of the consultancy service for the facade facelift to Heeren Shopping Centre in Orchard Road Singapore for Robinson Department Store. Other projects in this genre are Marina Square Singapore, Mall at DBS Podium Shenton Way & Katong 112.

Continuing on with BFG’s technical and engineering support to Specialist Facade Contractors in Singapore, we commenced on the Orchard Boulevard Skyline project for Tostem. Other similar support role are to AVA Global (Ardmore 8), Positive Engineering (2M2P), Yuanda (Altez), Twin Peaks (Alutek)and LHL International (Boulevard Vue)

BFG in partnership with Paul Adam Facades (Indonesia) secured the 50 storey twin tower Ciputra World Jakarta 2 Residential project and the 40 storey Sequis Centre located in the heart of Jakarta. CWJ2 is designed by SCDA Architects of Singapore and the Sequis Centre designer is KPF from New York.

Launch of Mediacorp New Campus located at Mediapolis at one North Singapore. The new landmark building bring together all the components of Mediacorp in one facility will be designed by Maki & Associates and DP Architects. Facade design will be by BFG and this fast track project of over 80,000 sqm will be completed by 2015.

BFG commenced on the facade design for CapitaMalls Asia on the new Westgate Mall and Office development in Jurong East. The 55,200 sqm GFA project of S$400m will be designed by Benoy & RSP Architects and slated for completion by end 2014.

This month saw the award of the new Tampines Town Hub. This will an integrated destination of over 7 football fields in site coverage will have arts & culture, sports, service, F&B and shopping facilities under one roof. Expected completion is 2016 and BFG will be providing the façade consultancy support from design
